Giving back is extremely important to Toneata. Her recent volunteer work involves two causes: raising awareness of the cyberbullying problem and honoring and supporting our veterans.
First, since starting up in 2016, Toneata has used her active wear company, All Legs, to promote causes that matter to women, such as stopping cyberbullying. This has involved collaborating with the Kind Campaign and the Cybersmile Foundation, supporting their mission through blogging, social media and appearances, and donating a portion of sales to them.
In conjunction with that effort, Toneata has given talks at middle schools throughout Oregon about the epidemic of cyberbullying, and how to report and avoid it. She personally experienced cyberbullying as a student and in her professional life, and knows first-hand how devastating it can be.
Second, in honor of her late father, a Purple Heart Veteran, Toneata supports Operation Rebuild Hope, the Wounded Warrior Project, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She has visited VA hospitals, and blogs and posts on social media to help raise awareness of veterans’ issues, especially the plight of homeless veterans.
